In 2013, Swarovski introduced a new way of categorizing and aligning figurines within their marketplace. As a result, there is a new category Swarovski Characters which consists of Disney characters, Lovlots characters, and Hello Kitty characters.
Swarovski and Disney began their collaboration in 2005 to bring Disney's amazing cartoon characters into crystal life. Since that time, Swarovski has produced nearly 60 figurines including several Limited Edition Swarovski figurines. Various Swarovski Disney themes represented in crystal include: Bambi, Lady and the Tramp, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Mickey and Friends, Lion King, and Peter Pan.
Swarovski introduced a new collection in 2006 calling it the Swarovski Lovlots. The Lovlots are adorable little figurines full of life and charisma. Swarovski creates a little story behind most of them, including their personality that most anyone can identify with. The Swarovski Lovlots consist of Emotis, Kris Bears, Bo Bears, Happy Ducks, Limited Editions Mos, and various Lovlot families.
The crystal brand officially announced a Swarovski / Sanrio collaboration in June 2011. This collaboration allows Swarovski and Sanrio a union building a larger distribution channel and more figurines and jewelry with the official Swarovski name geared toward consumers. The crystal giant indicates Swarovski Hello Kitty jewelry, charms, figurines, and accessories were created for the dual-brand productions. Swarovski has also created some Limited Edition Hello Kitty figurines for collectors.
Swarovski does not include any special Swarovski certificate in the box. The boxes for the Swarovski Character figurines are the newer Swarovski blue packaging as well as some unique packaging for the Swarovski Lovlots.
